The WALKING DENDRO is a unique creature in the reefing hobby because of the commensal relatioship between the dendro coral (Heteropsammia cochlea) and a peanut worm (Sipunculid worm). The peanut worm lives under the base of the coral, and moves the coral around the sandbed as it scavenges for food. Because of it’s movement, the peanut worm prevents the dendro coral from being buried.
