Hailing from the fiery deserts of Arizona is the AZ Sunset Bubble Tip Anemone!! This is one we stumbled onto many years ago, when we purchased a collection of clones that had split from the original wild anemone, purchased right here in the Valley of the Sun by a local hobbyist almost 9 years ago. The minute we saw them we knew we had something a bit more unique than rainbows, with very unusual colors including the prized yellow tips sought by higher end anemone collectors, and a feature of the Sunburst Bubble Tip Anemone.
The colors of the anemones range between a couple phases, though most notably on the Sunset, is the beautiful burnt orange coloration, with vibrant yellow tips, and a tiny blueish dot at the end of each tentacle. We have seen these morph beyond that to lose the dots on the tips, and resemble more of a sunburst, or also shift into a deep red phase, where they lose the yellow tips but gain deep striated patterns. White speckles/sparkles are commonly seen throughout the anemone when given a bit higher light! When we coined the name, it was a direct reflection of the beautiful range of colors we are blessed by in our sunsets here above the Valley of the Sun.
We really do adore these Arizona Sunsets here at Saltwater Junkies & Co., they have been our favorite since we first stumbled into them, and we continue to source them to this day to vendors and hobbyists alike! Keep calm and reef on Saltwater Junkies!!!
